Where does the festival take place?

The Nogales International Film Fest takes place in the culturally rich and dynamic border cities of Nogales, Arizona and Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. Indoor screenings will be held at the historic Oasis Theater in Nogales, Arizona and at Imfoculta in Nogales, Sonora. We’ll also host special events at Holler & Saunders and our signature Film on the Fence event on International Street, right at the U.S.-Mexico border. These unique locations celebrate the spirit of cross-border collaboration and offer a one-of-a-kind film festival experience. Be sure to check our full schedule for event times and locations!

How do I get to Nogales?

Accepted Answer

Nogales, Arizona is located right on the U.S.–Mexico border, just about an hour south of Tucson. The most common route is via Interstate 19 (I-19), which runs directly from Tucson to downtown Nogales. If you're flying in from the U.S., Tucson International Airport (TUS) is the closest major airport, with rental cars and shuttle services available for the drive south.
For our friends traveling from Mexico, the closest international airport is Hermosillo International Airport (HMO), located approximately 3 hours south of Nogales by car. From there, it’s a straightforward drive north to the border.
Nogales, Sonora sits just across from Nogales, Arizona and is easily accessible by foot or car through the main port of entry. Whether you’re arriving from the north or south, the city is welcoming and easy to reach.
