The Southern Arizona Film Society, in proud partnership with La Línea and The Gok, is thrilled to announce the inaugural Nogales Pride Film Fest, taking place Saturday, June 22, from 12 PM to 8 PM at the Alfredo I. Velasquez Art Hall at The Gok. This one-day, free-to-the-public celebration centers LGBTQ+ voices in cinema, highlighting stories rooted in the heart of Southern Arizona.

SOUTHERN ARIZONA LGBTQ+ SHORT FILMS
This year's Short Film Program features seven bold and original documentary and narrative films from queer artist and allies from Southern Arizona, each offering a unique cultural perspective and narrative style. These films together form a moving tribute to resilience, authenticity, and the transformative power of storytelling in LGBTQ+ communities.

The evening will culminate with a thought-provoking mixer and community discussion led by local artist and educator Juan Miguel Garcia, exploring LGBTQ+ representation in Hollywood. The conversation invites audiences to reflect on queer visibility and the background and influences of your favorite Disney Film.
